Vehicle Power Range Calculator

Power Range for a Vehicle Calculation

Calculate vehicle power range from maximum vehicle tractive effort and maximum vehicle speed by using heavy duty hydrostatic transmission calculator online.

When maximum vehicle tractive effort and maximum vehicle speed in the normal working range are specified, the vehicle power range can be calculated using the following formula:

PRv = (TE)(Vs)/(C1)(Er)

Formula:

PRv = [(TE x Vs) / (C1 x Er)]

where:
TE = Maximum vehicle tractive effort in the normal working range,
Vs = Maximum vehicle speed,
C1 = A constant to convert to units of horsepower (375) or Kilowatts (3600),
Er = Final drive ratio efficiency
