The tPA (Alteplase) dosage calculation follows a standard protocol based on patient weight (W) for acute ischemic stroke:
Total tPA Dose (TD) = 0.9 mg/kg × W (up to a maximum of 90 mg)
IV Bolus Dose (BD) = 10% of TD
IV Infusion Dose (ID) = 90% of TD
The bolus dose is administered over 1 minute, and the infusion dose is administered over 60 minutes.
