Redlich Kwong Equation of State Calculation

Use this simple calculator to find gas pressure using redlich kwong equation of state formula.

In thermodynamics, the Redlich - Kwong equation of state is an empirical formula equation that relates pressure, temperature and volume of gases. Redlich-Kwong formula was formed by austrian physical chemist Otto Redlich and chemical engineer Joseph Neng Shun Kwong in 1949.

Formula:

P = (R × T / Vm - b) - [ a / (√T Vm (Vm + b) ) ]

where,
P - the gas pressure,
R - the gas constant,
T - temperature,
Vm - the molar volume (V/n),
a - a constant that corrects for attractive potential of molecules,
b - a constant that corrects for volume
