The Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) score is derived from a 9-item questionnaire. For each item, you select a rating from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree). The total score is the sum of these 9 ratings. To get the average FSS score, the total is divided by 9.
