Utilize our Drill and Blast Pattern Calculator to optimize your blasting operations. Accurately determine burden, spacing, and rock volume per hole based on borehole diameter, bench height, and rock properties. Enhance safety and efficiency in mining, quarrying, and construction projects.
Formula:
The calculations are based on fundamental principles for determining an effective drill and blast pattern:
- Borehole Diameter (Dbh): Input in mm.
- Bench Height (Hbh): Input in meters.
- Rock Factor (Kb): A dimensionless factor reflecting rock strength and type (e.g., 25-35 for typical rock).
- Spacing Ratio (Ks): The ratio of spacing to burden, typically 1.15 to 1.25.
Formulas Used:
- Burden (B) = Kb × (Dbh / 1000)
- Spacing (S) = Ks × B
- Volume per Hole (Vhole) = B × S × Hbh
