This calculator calculates the poynting vector using electric field vector, magnetic field's auxiliary field vector values.

The Poynting vector represents the directional energy flux or power flow of an electromagnetic field. Since an electromagnetic wave is composed of an electric field and magnetic field oscillating perpendicular to one another and mutually perpendicular to the direction of the propagation of the wave, the Poynting vector is defined in terms of the cross product of the two fields.
