Oxygen Content Calculation
Formula:
CaO2 = ( Hgb x 13.4 x O2Sat / 100 ) + ( PaO2 x 0.031 )
Where,O2Sat - Oxygen saturation
PaO2 - Partial Pressure of Oxygen
Hgb - Hemoglobin
The Constant 1.34 - amount of oxygen (ml at 1 atmosphere) bound per gram of hemoglobin
The constant 0.031 represents the amount of oxygen dissolved in plasma.
