What is Skewness?

Skewness is a measure of symmetry, or more precisely, the lack of symmetry. A distribution, or data set, is symmetric if it looks the same to the left and right of the center point. Skewness tells us about the direction of variation of the data set.

Karl Pearson Coefficient of Skewness Calculation

Formula:

Sk = 3(m- Md) ÷ SD

where,
m = mean,
Md = median,
SD = Standard Deviation,
Sk = Karl Pearson coefficient of Skewness
