Wet-Bulb Temperature and Relative Humidity Calculator

Calculate Wet-Bulb Temperature and Relative Humidity

Accurately calculate wet-bulb temperature and relative humidity from dry-bulb temperature and dew point, alongside atmospheric pressure. This tool is essential for assessing heat stress risk in various environments, from outdoor work to agricultural planning. Understand real-feel temperatures and optimize conditions for safety and comfort.

Formula:

This calculator determines Wet-bulb Temperature (Tw) and Relative Humidity (RH) based on your input of Dry-bulb Temperature (Td), Dew Point (Tdp), and Atmospheric Pressure (P). The calculations involve standard psychrometric equations to derive:

  • Actual Vapor Pressure (Pw) from Tdp
  • Saturation Vapor Pressure (Pws) from Td
  • Relative Humidity (RH) = (Pw / Pws) × 100%
Wet-bulb temperature is then derived using a widely accepted empirical approximation based on Td, RH, and P.
