Formula:
The SOFA score is the sum of individual scores (0-4) from six organ systems:
- Respiration (PaO2/FiO2)
- Coagulation (Platelets)
- Liver (Bilirubin)
- Cardiovascular (MAP, Vasopressors)
- Central Nervous System (Glasgow Coma Scale)
- Renal (Creatinine, Urine Output)
Total SOFA Score = Respiration Score + Coagulation Score + Liver Score + Cardiovascular Score + CNS Score + Renal Score
Each system is graded from 0 (normal function) to 4 (most severe dysfunction).
