Formula:

The SCORAD score is calculated using the following formula:
SCORAD = A/5 + 7B/2 + C

Where:

  • A = Extent of Atopic Dermatitis (percentage of affected body surface area, 0-100%).
  • B = Sum of 6 Intensity items (Erythema, Edema/Papulation, Oozing/Crusts, Lichenification, Scratch marks, Dryness). Each item is scored 0-3, totaling 0-18.
  • C = Sum of 2 Subjective Symptoms (Pruritus/itching and Sleep loss). Each item is scored 0-10, totaling 0-20.
A higher SCORAD score indicates more severe Atopic Dermatitis.
