Savings Withdrawal Calculator: How Long Will Your Funds Last?

Calculate Your Savings Withdrawal Duration

Use our Savings Withdrawal Calculator to estimate how many years your savings will support your desired monthly withdrawals, factoring in interest earnings and inflation. Make informed decisions for your retirement planning and ensure your funds last.

Formula:

This calculator uses an iterative approach to project your savings balance over time, considering your initial balance, monthly withdrawals, annual interest, and inflation.

  • Starting Balance (B): Your initial savings amount.
  • Annual Interest Rate (R): The yearly return on your savings.
  • Annual Inflation Rate (I): The rate at which purchasing power decreases.
  • Monthly Withdrawal (W): Your desired withdrawal amount each month.

Each year, the remaining balance is adjusted for interest, and the inflation-adjusted annual withdrawal is subtracted. This process repeats until the balance is depleted.
