Our online Humidity Calculator simplifies determining relative humidity from air temperature and dew point. Understand the moisture content in the air for various applications, from weather analysis to HVAC system optimization and agricultural planning. Get accurate results for better environmental control.
Formula:
The Relative Humidity (RH) is calculated using the Magnus-Tetens approximation formula relating saturation vapor pressure to temperature:
RH (%) = 100 × (exp((17.625 × Tdp) / (243.04 + Tdp)) / exp((17.625 × Tdb) / (243.04 + Tdb)))
- Tdb: Dry-bulb Temperature (Air Temperature) in °C
- Tdp: Dew Point Temperature in °C
This formula provides an accurate approximation for relative humidity based on the relationship between the actual vapor pressure (derived from dew point) and the saturation vapor pressure at the ambient air temperature.
