Discover your Heart Rate Recovery (HRR) score with our easy-to-use calculator. Quickly assess your cardiovascular health and fitness level by measuring how fast your heart rate drops after intense exercise. Understand the importance of HRR for a healthy heart and monitor your progress over time.
Formula:
The Heart Rate Recovery (HRR) is calculated as the difference between your peak heart rate during exercise and your heart rate a specific time (usually 1 or 2 minutes) after stopping exercise.
- HRR (1 Minute) = Peak Heart Rate - Heart Rate 1 Minute Post-Exercise
- HRR (2 Minutes) = Peak Heart Rate - Heart Rate 2 Minutes Post-Exercise
Where:
- Peak Heart Rate: Your heart rate (beats per minute, BPM) at the most intense point of your exercise.
- Heart Rate 1 Minute Post-Exercise: Your heart rate (BPM) exactly one minute after stopping intense exercise.
- Heart Rate 2 Minutes Post-Exercise: Your heart rate (BPM) exactly two minutes after stopping intense exercise.
