Our Gestational Age Calculator helps expecting parents and healthcare providers accurately determine pregnancy duration. Easily calculate your gestational age, estimated due date, and current pregnancy week using your Last Menstrual Period (LMP) or early ultrasound measurements. Understand your baby's development timeline for better prenatal care and planning.
Formula:
The Gestational Age Calculator primarily uses two methods to estimate pregnancy duration:
- Last Menstrual Period (LMP) Method: This method calculates gestational age based on the first day of the last menstrual period.
Gestational Age (weeks) = (Number of days from LMP to Today) ÷ 7 - Ultrasound Method: This method relies on the gestational age determined during an ultrasound scan, often considered more accurate, especially in early pregnancy.
Gestational Age (weeks) = (Ultrasound Age in Weeks × 7 + Number of days from Ultrasound Date to Today) ÷ 7
The Estimated Due Date is typically 280 days (40 weeks) from the LMP or the equivalent calculated by ultrasound.
