Filtration Constant Calculator

Filtration Constant (Kf) Calculation

Online calculator to estimate filtration constant (Kf) in renal function (nephrology). It can be calculated by dividing the experimental GFR by the net filtration pressure.

Formula:

Kf = [ GFR / (PG - PB - ∏G + ∏B ) ]

where,
GFR = glomerular filtration rate
PG = hydrostatic pressure within the glomerular capillaries
PB = hydrostatic pressure within the Bowman's capsule
G = colloid osmotic pressure within the glomerular capillaries
B = colloid osmotic pressure within the Bowman's capsule
Kf = filtration constant.
