Uncover your Fat-Free Mass Index (FFMI) with our accurate calculator. This tool helps assess your muscle mass relative to height and body fat, offering insights into your physique and potential. Understand where you stand in terms of muscularity and track your fitness progress effectively.
Formula:
The FFMI is calculated using your Lean Body Mass (LBM), height, and an optional correction factor for men.
1. Lean Body Mass (LBM):
LBM (kg) = Weight (kg) × (1 - (Body Fat (%) / 100))
2. Fat-Free Mass Index (FFMI):
FFMI = LBM (kg) / (Height (m))2
3. Corrected FFMI (for men):
Corrected FFMI = FFMI + 6.1 × (1.80 - Height (m))
Note: The height correction factor is typically applied to men to normalize FFMI scores for different heights, especially when comparing to population averages. For women, the uncorrected FFMI is often used as the primary metric.
