The Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) monthly pension is generally calculated using the formula:
Monthly Pension = (Pensionable Salary × Pensionable Service) / 70
- Pensionable Salary: This is the average of your last 60 months' wages (Basic + DA) preceding the date of exit from EPS, capped at ₹15,000 per month for most members who joined/contributed after September 1, 2014.
- Pensionable Service: This refers to your total years of eligible service for which EPF contributions were made. Minimum 10 years of service is generally required for monthly pension.
