Understanding the Crosstalk Calculation
The calculator estimates the Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT) voltage using a simplified model based on capacitive and inductive coupling:
VNEXT = ½ × ( (Ccoupling × Z0) + (Lcoupling / Z0) ) × (Lcoupled / Trise) × Vsignal
- VNEXT: Estimated Near-End Crosstalk Voltage (Volts)
- Ccoupling: Coupling Capacitance per unit length (Farads/inch)
