Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) Calculator

Calculate Your Charlson Comorbidity Score

Use our Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) Calculator to quickly assess a patient's risk of 10-year mortality and overall comorbidity burden. Input relevant medical conditions to generate a reliable prognosis score, essential for clinical decision-making and research.

Formula:

The Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) is a weighted index that takes into account the number and seriousness of 17 specific comorbid diseases. Each condition is assigned a score (weight) of 1, 2, 3, or 6, based on its association with 10-year mortality. These individual scores are summed to yield a total CCI score. A higher score indicates a greater burden of comorbidity and a higher predicted mortality.
