This calculator calculates the density of bitumen / asphalt using weight of empty and dry pycnometer, weight of pycnometer with full of water at 25°c (w3), weight of pycnometer with distilled water and bitumen (w4) values.
Formula:
Density of Bitumen / Asphalt = (W2 - W1) / (W3 - W1) - (W4 -W2)
Where,W2 = Weight of Pycnometer with Bitumen
W1 = Weight of Empty and Dry Pycnometer
W4 = Weight of Pycnometer with Distilled Water and Bitumen
W3 = Weight of Pycnometer with Full of Water at Temperature 25°C
