Each factor, such as age, Body Mass Index (BMI), waist circumference, physical activity levels, dietary habits (fruit & vegetable intake), family history of diabetes, blood pressure medication use, and past high blood glucose readings, is assigned a specific point value. These points are then summed to determine your overall risk category:

  • Low Risk: Score < 7 points
  • Slightly Elevated Risk: 7-11 points
  • Moderate Risk: 12-14 points
  • High Risk: 15-20 points
  • Very High Risk: > 20 points
