APRI Calculator: Assess Liver Fibrosis & Cirrhosis Risk

Calculate Your APRI Score

Enter your AST level.
Enter the upper limit of normal for AST (typically provided by your lab).
Enter your platelet count (e.g., 200 for 200 x 109/L).

The APRI Calculator (AST to Platelet Ratio Index) is a non-invasive tool to estimate the likelihood of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, particularly in patients with chronic viral hepatitis (Hepatitis B & C). It provides a quick, cost-effective score to assess liver health.

Formula:

APRI = ((AST (IU/L) / AST ULN (IU/L)) / Platelet Count (109/L)) × 100

Where:

  • AST: Aspartate Aminotransferase level (in IU/L)
  • AST ULN: Upper Limit of Normal for AST (in IU/L)
  • Platelet Count: Platelet count (in 109/L)
