The Malus' Law stating that the intensity of a beam of plane-polarized light after passing through a rotatable polarizer varies as the square of the cosine of the angle through which the polarizer is rotated from the position that gives maximum intensity.

Malus' law: I = I0 ⋅ cos² ⋅ θi
where θi is the angle between the polarization direction of the light and the transmission axis of the polarizer.

Formula:

I = I0 ⋅ cos² ⋅ θi

where,
I0 = Initial Intensity
θi = Angle
I = Intensity of the light
